Creating new Issues for the Manager

Creating a new issue in the Manager always begins within active analysis—either in the Dashboard or the Analyzer—where data insights first surface. By enabling Minerva AI, you can transform analytical observations into structured, trackable issues in just one click. This seamless transition from AI-powered conversation to Kanban-based issue tracking ensures that critical findings, anomalies, or improvement ideas are not lost, but instead captured, contextualized, and routed directly into your organization’s structured resolution workflow.

Creating New Issues

While the Manager feature is your go-to hub for tracking and resolving problems, new issues always originate during active analysis in the Dashboard or Analyzer. These core analysis areas give you the data context and visual insights needed to identify potential problems—whether it’s an unexpected KPI fluctuation or a process bottleneck—before promoting them into your issue backlog.

Accessing Minerva AI

To unlock issue-creation capabilities, first ensure Minerva AI is enabled. Look to the top-right corner of your Dashboard or Analyzer screens for the Minerva AI slider. Toggling it on opens the Minerva pane along the right edge, revealing the chat interface where all conversational analysis and issue generation takes place. If no conversations exist yet, you’ll see the prompt:

“No active conversations with Minerva yet.”

This mode transforms your analysis workspace into an interactive environment where you can both explore data and directly engage with our AI assistant.

Launching a New Conversation

Once Minerva AI is active, click the Ask Something button to begin. A compact chat window appears on the right. You can customize its size by dragging its corners outward or inward—ideal for comparing your AI dialogue side-by-side with the underlying process charts or tables. Minerva will greet you immediately, setting the stage for a fluid back-and-forth that blends human expertise with AI-driven insights.

Asking Questions and Choosing an LLM

With the chat window open, start by typing any question—whether it’s tied explicitly to the data and visuals on your screen (e.g., “What could explain this sudden drop in throughput?”) or broader process-management inquiries (e.g., “What are best practices for parallelizing activities?”). Before sending, use the LLM selector at the bottom to pick from the models licensed in your plan. This flexibility lets you compare response styles, performance, or depth of analysis across different AI engines.

Converting Conversations to Issues

As soon as your first message is sent, an extra button appears at the top-right of the chat window: Mark as Issue. Clicking it instantly promotes the current conversation thread into a new issue card in the Manager. You’ll see a confirmation banner—“Conversation successfully transferred into an issue”—and the button label switches to Open Issue. Select it to jump straight into the Manager view, where your freshly minted issue awaits further categorization, AI-assisted exploration, and eventual resolution.
